My Great Grandfather, William S. Malott and his wife Lou Anna Stratton. William was the son of Delos Malott. This grave was purchased by my grandfather George Malott.
William was born in 1861 and died in 1942 at age 81.
Lou Anna was born in 1863 and died in 1904 at age 41 – Because there were still several children to care for when she dies William sent the children to live in a children’s home.
According to records I have been given they had 14 children. My Grandfather and his twin were numbers 6 and 7.
During the census of 1910 there were still 8 children alive. There is a marker with that shows 6 of their children are buried to the left of their grave.
Six of William S. Malott’s children died in a rampant illness that swept the area in those days. The grave is not marked with names.
